"Cash Money" è il nuovo video di Tyga

Tyga ha lanciato online il video del suo nuovo singolo “Cash Money”.

Nella clip MicHael Ray, accompagnato dalla sua Last Kings Crew, rende omaggio all’epoca d’oro della Cash Money con bandane, mimetiche e T-shirt extra large, proprio come gli “Hot Boys” del periodo musicale a cavallo tra la fine degli anni ’90 e l’inizio del nuovo millenio.

Il brano è un vero e proprio attacco frontale alla etichetta di cui il Rapper faceva parte nel 2014. Il testo, infatti dice: “Cause I’m paid, cash money / Cash Money never paid me but your boy still did his thing and made cash money” (“Perchè io guadagno, contanti / Cash Money non mi ha mai pagato ma il vostro ragazzo ha fatto lo stesso quello che doveva e ha fatto i soldi”).

A quel tempo l’album “The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty” era già pronto, ma era “ostaggio” della label che ha cercato di impedire allo stesso T-Raww di pubblicarlo.

Nel 2015 Tyga, ignorando le direttive della Cash Money, ha lanciato l’lp sotto la sua stessa etichetta, la Last Kings Records.
