"River" è il nuovo video di Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran

Eminem è online con il video del nuovo singolo “River”, pubblicato il 14 febbraio 2018 giorno di S. Valentino.

“River” secondo estratto da “Revival”, nono album in studio del rapper statunitense e rilasciato lo scorso 5 gennaio, vede la partecipazione vocale del cantautore britannico Ed Sheeran, coautore del brano insieme a Marshall Mathers e Emile Haynie (producer).

Il video annunciato dall’artista con la frase “Unhappy Valentine’s Day!” (“Un Infelice San Valentino A Tutti!”), racconta appunto di un triangolo amoroso all’insegna dell’infelicità.

Diretta da Emil Nava con la produzione di Emile Haynie, Amy James, Seth Levin e Kathy Angstadt, la clip della durata di circa 7 minuti è stata girata in stile documentario nel quale vengono messe in scena una serie di interviste a Eminem, alla sua fidanzata (finta) e l’ex compagno della ragazza, intervallate da altre situazioni e scene in cui compare anche Ed Sheeran.

La storia racconta inizialmente di un uomo che ha tradito la sua ragazza la quale, scoperta la sua infedeltà cerca vendetta tradendolo con un’altro (Eminem).

Dopo che l’uomo scopre cosa sta facendo la sua ragazza, finisce per lasciarla mentre Eminem ha ormai perso interesse per lei. La situazione precipita quando quest’ultimo viene a sapere che la donna è incinta di lui, arrivando alla distruzione della relazione con ragazza e l’aborto del suo bambino.

Il titolo del brano “River” è probabilmente un riferimento al fiume Giordano, poiché Giovanni Battista usava la sua acqua per lavare via i peccati delle persone.

Nel brano infatti, Ed Sheeran canta di un uomo pieno di rimorsi che vuole essere lavato dai suoi peccati.

E’ importante ricordare a tutti i fan del rapper di Detroit che sabato 7 luglio 2018, Eminem sarà in concerto in Italia per la prima volta in assoluto all’Area Expo – Experience Milano.
